In 2022 GM produced a limited Heritage Edition Corvette C8 to celebrate the remarkable accomplishment of winning the IMSA GTLM Manufacturer's Championship in its very first year of competition. In fact, they won the Drivers and Teams Championships, winning 6 out of 11 class races outright and winning pole positions 7 times.
